I was born in Grays, Essex, England. I came to Perth in 1968.
I have a sister Kirsten, who lives with her husband, Crispin, and little boy, Sebastian.
I have a son who goes by the nick Froggy, who is presently studying at the University of Western Australia.
I live in Swanbourne, a part of the Town of Claremont, in the metropolitan area of Perth. My parents, Peter and Doris, also live in Swanbourne.
For some years, I have been a judge for the Aurealis Awards.
